I'm Back Home!

This post is much later than I would've liked it to be, but I have been drowning in schoolwork and projects, so I had to get those out of the way first.

Besides all of that, I'm back home! I can't say that I got homesick on the trip, but there comes a point that when you're in the hotel room getting ready for bed, you wish you were sleeping in your own bed.

But, yes! I'm back home in Canada and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Jamaica was absolutely beautiful. The resort and staff were amazing, so were some of the other guests (can't say that for all of them however), and the sunsets were just stunning. It's crazy to think though that not even two weeks ago, I was laying on the beach in 30+ heat (Celsius) and now I'm home with over six feet of snow and ice.

I honestly don't think that it's going to be melted until the end of May.

Sadly though, we know that all good things must come to an end, and Jamaica was a great thing for me.

It's nice to be home and with what I know, don't get me wrong, I just wish that I was still on the beach.

I was able to get a few pictures with my good camera while I was there and I want to share them, so here they are!

This first one is one of my favourites because I was able to get the photo of the flag in the shape of a heart at the exact right moment and I love it so much. It's difficult to get a good picture of something moving, much less something being shaped by the wind, so what are the chances of that happening?

This is a picture of the sunset from the world famous Rick's Cafe. I could sit there and watch the sun set forever. It was so beautiful there. It would be the perfect place to escape to when you have too much on your mind.

Here's another sunset picture, yet this one is from my resort, on the beach. It was probably one of the beaches I've ever seen.

A picture of the beach I stayed at for the majority of my trip in the daytime.

Finally, we have one more sunset/beach picture. I'm not sure what I love about this so much, whether it's the colour of the sunset, or the beam of light reflecting on the water, or the chairs off to the side, but something about this picture is just so calming. Everytime I look at it, I just think "Hey, everything is going to be okay."

Sadly, I wasn't able to get that many photos with my good camera because I didn't want to risk getting sand and potentially ruining my camera, so I only had it on me for a small minority of the trip. I did have my underwater camera though, but I forgot what awful pictures it takes compared to my good camera.

I know that these probably aren't the greatest pictures that you've ever seen, but I'm not a professional and I know that! I'm just having fun with my camera and capturing things that I like in a frame.

Until next time!
